Changes to the 2:30 Intervention Program:
Beginning the week of October 13, 2014, the 8th hour program will continue running 3 days a week, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, with the following changes:
- On Mondays, Science will be the top priority followed by any other subject area
- On Tuesdays, English will be the top priority followed by any other subject area
- On Thursdays, Math will be the top priority followed by any other subject area
If you are assigned for a class on its day of priority, you must report to that class. Also note, you can be assigned to any class on any day, but you must go to that day’s top priority if requested. All students may receive tutoring during 8th hour, whether or not they have been assigned.
It is expected that students will arrive to their 8th hour classrooms by 2:40pm. The usual transportation home will be available on all three days at 3:20. Students involved in athletics or activities who are assigned to 8th hour must complete their 8th hour before attending their events or activities.
Students can avoid having to go to 8th hour by regularly completing work, checking grades, communicating with teachers, and being proactive in receiving support.
