For students interested in planning their careers or researching colleges, the Marcos Career Center is the place to start. Administered by the career technician, the center offers a variety of materials to help students make plans for their future.
What the Career Center has to offer:
College view computer software allows students to research colleges, email colleges for more information, and even apply to some colleges electronically
Scholarship computer software gives students access to a large database of scholarships
Choices career software explores student’s interests, suggests related occupations and field of study, and searches for schools which meet students requirements
Access to the internet gives students the opportunity to research careers and colleges, find scholarships and financial aid, apply to colleges, and access the vast information available on the World Wide Web
Career/College Library has many books available for information on finding an occupation, an occupational outlook information, job searching, resume writing, and college searching.
College catalogs, view books, applications, and videos from Arizona and out-of-state colleges help students chose and apply to colleges
Vocational school, trade school, and community college information
College representatives from Arizona and out-of-state colleges visit regularly
Financial Aid and scholarship information
Military information, including visits from Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine recruiters
Individual consultation with the Career Technician for students wishing help in planning their futures
